Let me just preface this entire post with the fact that my heart is so insanely full after this weekend. If you're new here my name is Stephanie and I am a wanderlustin, fashion obsessed, spicy margarita enthusiast that creates content on various social platforms. One of the platforms I use is Instagram (@sugaredstilettos), which is where I virtually met the 7 other girls I went to Denver with. I had talked with these girls for months, some of them for over a year, and I knew that if I could get us all in one spot it would make for the most epic weekend. Needless to say planning commenced and let me just tell you the word epic doesn't even do the trip or the feeling of meeting your internet besties in real life justice… like at all. These girls and this weekend surpassed any expectations I had by a landslide.

WHERE TO EAT
TUPELO HONEY— Breakfast + Brunch
This southern inspired restaurant is literally drool worthy + was my personal favorite for breakfast. I will forever be dreaming of the sriracha fried chicken + waffles I ate here because they were sooooo freaking delicious. If you're a fellow mimosa lover, they also have a unique flavor inspired mimosa list— we tried the Blueberry Lavender + Southern Hospitality.
VOODOO DOUGHNUT— Donuts + Coffee
If you follow me then you already know I am a donut fanatic and always share a great donut spot from wherever I go. Voodoo doughnuts 100% did not disappoint. They have SO many flavor combinations that the worst part of the experience was trying to figure out which ones to try! My personal favorite was the voodoo hibiscus. I also live for the pink interior and chandeliers.
DEATH & COMPANY— Breakfast + Cocktail Bar
This place should win an award for the most vibey + chic breakfast spot. It's literally so picturesque and they make the most BOMB coffee cocktails. They also have another spot that's open at night for a cocktail bar, so add it to your list! Anywho, I ordered the avocado toast and a cold brew with a shot of Cherry Heering, both were phenomenal . PS, definitely order cookies for the table because they are so soft and served warm!
DENVER BISCUIT COMPANY— Breakfast + Brunch
This place was highly recommended to a few of us in our group because they are known for their drool worthy biscuit breakfast sandwiches. Let's just say the recommendation did not disappoint and there is a reason it has over 4,000 4.5 star reviews on yelp!! There is usually a wait so try and get their early as they don't take reservations!
100% DE AGAVE— Mexican Lunch/Dinner
If you follow me then you also know that I am a marg + Mexican food enthusiast. I could literally eat Mexican/drink margs everyday and never get sick of them… truly I am not kidding. We went here for dinner one night and it hit the spot. My personal favorites were the spicy guacamole and chicken tacos… plus the tequila shots they gave to our group for mine and my friend Laura's belated birthdays. I obviously also had a spicy marg because they are my fave!
THE KITCHEN — Dinner
The atmosphere of this restaurant is perfect for dinner. It's more upscale than it is casual and the ambience is on point. Please do yourself a favor and try the savory crullers for an appetizer for your table— they are savory salted Parmesan donut looking things that were so freaking good. Myself and a few of the other girls had the ghocchetti for dinner and it was packed with flavor. Also, surprise I had a spicy marg!
WHERE TO DRINK
BIGSBY'S FOLLY— Winery + Small Plates
If you're looking for Napa Valley wine in the Mile-High city then Bigsby's is your spot. This urban winery is owned by Marla and Chad who my group was fortunate enough to meet while on site— they are both so sweet! Our group did a wine tasting and charcuterie sampling and both were phenomenal— talk about bringing the taste of Cali grapes to Denver! They have seating both indoors and outdoors, both are decorated beautifully!
ROOM FOR MILLY— Cocktail Bar + Tapas
All I have to say is vibes on freaking point. The entire aesthetic and atmosphere of this place is incredible... I literally want the interior decorator to fly to CT and design my home lol. If you're a girly girl or somebody who appreciates a perfectly curated photo op then you need to stop by here. Their cocktails are also super unique and they change constantly so you can keep going back for more. Perfect spot to stop by for a pre or post dinner cocktail with your group!!
HAPPY CAMPER— Cocktails/Beer/Wine, Pizza + Small Plates
If you are looking for a fun and upbeat spot to day/night drink with your friends I seriously couldn't recommend this place enough. Our group had WAY too much fun here in the best way possible. The music and atmosphere are on point and the decor is literally so fun. There are disco balls, Christmas lights, and giant campers everywhere. Can I also just say that the waitstaff are the nicest people in the freaking world? Our waitress was so dang sweet and even offered to take our picture without being prompted. 10 out of 10 recommend!
WHAT TO DO
EXPLORE DOWNTOWN DENVER + SHOP!
There are SO many things to be seen in Denver and one of the best ways to do that is by getting out there and walking around. My friend Iris and I got in a bit earlier then the rest of our group so we walked around downtown and did a little bit of shopping.
UNION STATION
If you're in Denver and don't make a pit stop by Union Station then you are seriously missing out. Union Station is literally one of the most iconic gathering places for locals and visitors because its packed with restaurants, retail, coffee and cocktail bars. Not to mention the enormous arched windows that let in so much natural light, stunning chandeliers, and overall elegance the entire place exudes. Plus, if you're there around the holidays it's decorated beautifully and makes the perfect spot to take Christmas photos!!
SUNRISE HIKE AT RED ROCKS
If you are an outdoorsy person that loves. breathtaking views then this one is for you. Red Rocks is located approximately 30 minutes outside of Denver and if you have time is well worth squeezing into your itinerary. I personally love a good hike, so when my group and I decided to wake up at 5am to catch the sunrise at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater I was over the moon excited. Make sure to plan accordingly so you have enough time to appreciate the sunrise slowly creeping in, it happens FAST. PS… the pictures are worth being SO tired!
PHOTO OPS AT THE CURITS HOTEL
If you're looking for a cute spot to take indoor pictures, the Curtis Hotel has the cutest lobby/lounge area!
